In 2003, Conrad Schmidt conceived the World Naked Bike Ride after organizing the Naked Bike Rides of the group Artists for Peace. In 2004 World Naked Bike Ride saw events in 28 cities, in ten countries on four continents. By 2010, the rides had expanded to 74 cities, in 17 countries, from the United States to the United Kingdom, Australia and Paraguay.

It ain't rude to be nude on ya bike. The annual World Naked Bike Ride is held on Sunday, and promotes cycling as an alterntive to a car culture, encourages a positive body image and reminds drivers to look out for cyclists on the roads.
